Dr. Christina Brunner graduated from the Medical School of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich in 1990. Dr. Brunner also deepened her knowledge in surgery when accepted for a special course in the United States at the Texas Heart Institute and other important medical and surgical establishments. After University graduation she worked in the Department of Surgery in the Community-Hospital-Harlaching in Munich (1990-1993) and gathered base knowledge in general surgery as well as traumatology. Following her overall course of study, her 1993 medical thesis received the grade of Magna Cum Laude.
After joining the department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the “Klinikum Rechts der Isar” of the Technical University Munich (1993-1998) she worked on the scientific subject “Local and Systemic Consequences Caused by Silicone Filled Breast Implants in the Human Body”. During the course of her education as a specialist of Plastic Surgery, under the direction of Professor Edgar Biemer, she gained profound knowledge in the field of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, as well as in related Microsurgery.
Since December 1998 she has worked in private practice as a fully Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. During the course of her studies and her practical career, Dr. Brunner has been honoured with the Presentation Prize at the Annual meeting of German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, and has had numerous articles and scientific studies published in recognised professional journals.
Dr. Brunner is member of the German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (DGPRÄC), the Association of German Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (VDÄPC), and has been accepted into the prestigious International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS). Furthermore, she holds supplemental Board Certification from the German Society of Anti-Aging Medicine (GSAAM), and is a member of the German Society of Senologie. In addition, since 2004 she is also a member of the Specialist Register (Plastic Surgery) of the General Medical Council (GMC) of the United Kingdom, American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
